Gordy: At 19, during a ride to the train station in Toronto, I noticed a sign for new condos being built right by Union Station. I dug into the city’s planning documents and discovered that major developers were involved in meetings about the area, which confirmed my hunch that the area around the condos would boom. My mom trusted my research, and together, we bought a condo. Within six months, the entire building sold out, and the property value spiked by $100,000. We eventually assigned the contract, walking away with a $300,000 gain in just a few years. That early win hooked me on real estate.
I got my real estate license soon after buying that condo. I moved my family to Milton, Ontario, which at the time was mostly undeveloped farmland, but I saw potential and predicted it would grow exponentially. During that time, I began selling Florida real estate to Canadian clients. It opened the door to more opportunities. Then, Milton took off, just as I predicted, and became the fastest growing town in Canada. My patience and work ethic paid off, and I earned the title of the #1 RE/MAX agent in Milton by 2016.

With all this growth and success, I was still flying down to Orlando every month, keeping updated on the market and building relationships with brokers and developers. In 2018, with my business in Toronto thriving, I was ready for a new challenge. I officially moved to Florida to embrace a larger, more competitive, and more dynamic market. I wanted to prove to myself I could be the best in any market.
Nick: When Gordy invited me to a round of golf, I didn’t think much of it. But after the first hole, he turned to me and asked, “What do you think about starting a brokerage together?” I was completely surprised—it came at the perfect time.

Growing up working in my family’s car dealership in Orlando gave me an early understanding of what it takes to run a business. From a young age, I was exposed to the inner workings of managing operations and building relationships with clients.
After college, I decided to take that foundation and apply it to real estate, getting my license and working on development projects with my father. It was through those projects that my passion for real estate really took hold—I loved the combination of strategy, investment, and working closely with clients. I was also engaged to my now-wife, Paige, giving me even more motivation to build something of my own. Starting a brokerage with Gordy felt like the perfect next step to challenge myself and grow beyond development.

Starting Florida Home Finders together in 2020 was a huge leap, but it worked because we each brought different strengths. Gordy, with years of experience in real estate, knew the ins and outs of the business and the best strategies and methods to be successful. I bring a strong work ethic, fresh perspective, and deep ties to the community here in Orlando. We strive to be the best, constantly pushing to deliver top-tier service and outstanding results for our clients, which has set a high standard for everything we do at the brokerage. In our second year, we received the Silver Award from the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association and the Gold Award in our third year for achieving $19 Million in resale MLS sales and $32 Million in new construction sales.
